Govt certainly does not have a monopoly over Corruption, yet it is the pivot of a system that makes life difficult for the honest. I certainly don’t buy the argument that if individuals don’t pay bribe then the Corruption will be rooted out eventually. What this argument fails to take into account is the fact that such a hypothetical suggestion only mitigates consensual or optional corruption. Most often Corruption is enforced by the absence of an alternative with the bribe giver and the bribe taker utilises the authority vested in him by the Govt to extort bribe. Surely one can refuse to pay and become a crusader but such an option precludes a normal life with multiple constraints. So instead of merely relying on the will of the people to refrain from paying bribe, it is mandatory to make bribe taking a costly affair for at least those who get caught.

WHEN WE ARE ALL TALKING OF CORRUPTION AT GOVT LEVELS, I WOULD LIKE TO THROW OPEN LIGHT ON CERTAIN AREAS WHERE INDIVIDUALS ARE PROMOTING OR PART OF CORRUPTION.COMMON AREAS/SITUATIONS ARE- VEHICLE REGISTRATION, LAND BUYING AND SELLING, PURCHASES MADE WITHOUT PROPER INVOICES , NOT HAVING AN INCOME NOT DISCLOSED TO AUTHORITIES, REACHING OFFICE AT THE STIPULATED TIME AND LEAVING AT STIPULATED TIME, NOT DELAYING FILES ,ETC. IF INDIVIDUALS TAKE A STAND NOT TO PAY BRIBE, THE WHOLE ACTIVITY WILL BE EFFECTIVE, THOUGH MAY TAKE A LITTLE MORE TIME. BUT WITHOUT THAT NO LAW OR AGITATION WILL SERVE ANY PURPOSE.ATLEAST THOSE WHO SUPPORT ANTI CORRUPTION CAN TAKE A STAND?

Hey, Commen Man has a short term memory loss problem (IPL scam is now totally forgotten and after somedays we will forget CWG scam).. they r so busy in earning there daily bread n butter that they do not have time to look into scam and corruption.. they are busy in their life…work in office, talk on mobile phones, bitch abut crickets n in d evening c d news n say.. These politicization are destroying d nation… so plz.. every 1 should not just say but try to make a difference by raising your voice and fighting for the nation.. Jai Hind
