This is where Social Media may come to the rescue. It provides the right amount of anonymity as well as 'web courage' to allow us to make public our thoughts that we do not normally disclose to anyone in real life. Let us all bring corruption out of the closet, only then will we be able to uproot it.

This is an old well versed issue on corruption on which every one sees in movies and rises their pitch but none actually prepared to abide by.Its not the politicians or the governments officials who are credit worthy for the rise in corruption but in reality its we have to change.Let alone our government is not responsible for the corruption,i dont see any differnce between gov are private .Even i m a student i am still aware of some corruption practises followed by some organizations in greed of accumulating moolah. But i very ashamed to say that i m very timid in unveiling those things.

Its true that the political leaders don't want to end corruption. But there have many changes that were implemented despite these leaders - EVM, Voter-ID, Electoral Affidavit of Court cases, RTI etc. Men like Sheshan or Sreedharan can turn things around quickly. Beyond this however comes the decisive role of 'common man'. That's the subject of my future post(s).

Your thoughts are well written. So that sounds like a great modus operandi to get rid of corruption, but what your article completely misses is that fact that nobody wants to get rid of corruption. Why would the leaders want to get rid of corruption? Its the same golden goose that feeds them, why would they kill it? Hasn't that been the really story of corruption in India since Independence?
